Weekend Workout

This weekend let's try something different, something fun.
step 1. wake up early, drink some coffee, eat something
step 2. take your damn bike off the trainer and change the rear tire if necessary
step 3. bundle up and head out your door
step 4. ride somewhere, anywhere for 3-5 hours and spend the whole time in the small ring keeping your cadence high and your heart rate stable
step 5. smile knowing that this is probably one of the most beneficial training rides you have done all winter


Your trainer is evil, get outdoors when you can. You can always clean the crap off your bike

Having a destination is always a good motivator, this afternoon I rode out to The Shed Coffee Bar in belfountain for an americano and a pastry. I got detoured because part of heritage was blocked and ended up pulling 110k. Definitely one of my more satisfying rides.

The shed is okay for coffee and whatnots BUT the Bakery in Erin is wayyyyy better for pastries and only a few extra kms away

maybe why I cannot shed those final 10lbs
